Atlanta Area Help in Achieving National Accreditation

Child care programs wanting to earn or renew national accreditation can receive services funded by Bright from the Start to help them prepare for and complete the application or renewal process. Through a competitive grant process, Bright from the Start funds technical assistance organizations to help child care programs meet national standards of quality including National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) for child care centers; National Association of Family Child Care (NAFCC) for family child care providers; the Council on Accreditation (COA) for after school programs; and other comparable national accrediting organizations.

Accreditation facilitation services, provided free of charge to child care programs, include site visits to assess the program's readiness to participate; assistance to help each program develop an improvement plan; on-site technical assistance; and coaching to help program staff develop skills to achieve and sustain program improvement goals.

Bright from the Start has funded the following organizations to provide accreditation facilitation services.

Child care programs interested in learning more about achieving or renewing national accreditation should click here to contact one of the organizations, depending on your district.
